Purpose Through
The Pain
When her son was seven years old, Andrea faced one of the scariest moments of her life. Her son, lying almost unresponsive, was in a critical condition, and she didn’t know why. While sitting in the emergency room, Andrea was told something that would change her and her sons’ lives forever. Her son had Type 1 Diabetes, and he would need medication for the rest of his life to live. What happened next started the painful journey of learning how to live with this disease, and the start of Purpose Through The Pain.
What is the Purpose…
What is the Pain.
Type 1 diabetes comes with a long list of challenges — for both the individual living with the disease and the caregiver who walks beside them. Anyone with Type 1 diabetes knows the daily discomfort and danger of managing high and low blood sugar. Caregivers of children and loved ones with Type 1 diabetes carry a unique burden, witnessing suffering firsthand while shouldering responsibilities most people never see.
This often means waking up every two hours to check blood sugar levels, giving injections, holding a loved one through moments of fear and confusion, and constantly worrying about sudden sugar spikes or dangerous crashes. The physical and emotional toll is relentless.
When someone cannot afford the supplies needed to manage Type 1 diabetes, the consequences can be severe. Lack of access often leads to hospitalization and long-term complications such as vision loss, kidney disease, nerve damage, ulcers, stroke, and more.
Our purpose is simple and urgent: to help people living with Type 1 diabetes access the supplies and resources they need to survive — and truly thrive.
With Purpose Through The Pain There Is HOPE!
Our PURPOSE is to help Type 1 Diabetics get access to the supplies they need to LIVE and THRIVE!
“This past month, I was slammed with an unexpected bill for my CGM and pod supplies, and [your] gift is SUCH a blessing. ”
